2008 Nelscott Kiteboard Rodeo Pro-AM
May 30th, 31st, and June 1st

First annual Nelscott kiteboarding contest will include 3 formats*:

KiterCross- Racing with jumps and obstacles at Siletz
Bay.

Wave riding and free style- at Road's End

Downwinder- 5 mi. race Road's End to Nelscott.

Contest Details:

20 Pro slots invitational-$300 registration
20 Amateur slots-$200 open registration

Purse of $5000 and trophies for Pro Division.
4 nights accommodations

Amateur division will receive trophies
and 4 nights accommodations

Media Banquet for all Participants

Contact John Forse at the Nelscott Reef Surf Shop
for entries and more details.

I emailed John (the promoter) and asked him what you get for the $200. He said:
"4 nights motel or RV space and Media Banquet"

idk,...something seems fishy,....or sharky

$200.00 for just a registration fee seems high???? especailly when its an amatuer division, just a trophy? no purse? Not to mention this is only the first year???
If it includes accomadations then, that makes more sense.

Is this the same guy that put on the BIG WAVE contest???

My first thought was to get the whole SOKA team up there,...but the regisration is just to high to pay for everyone.
