Not at all sure where you are going with your line of thinking there dickfircrick but I gotta say you are off base. I have deffinetly been in the water with chicks who rip both kite and surf.

Dude, you sound like and ass. If you like this event, you sure are not supporting it very well. Please tell me you are a pole surfer because I am not sure I want all kiters associated with your negativity to the sport. We like to share the stoke of it, not bag on it. Sorry for the rant, but your comment pissed me off.

i'll be there at least as a spectator... not sure what the wind is going to do just yet.. a little far out to plan...

if there isn't any wind, how about a stand up paddle day in PC? Smile

I am definitely looking for wind that weekend and taking a few days off. I sure hope the forecast perks up for everyone's sake.

Check out this news article. I love the comment about how 12mph forecast is perfect and how we get blown away by too much wind.

We're sitting in the Sandcastle Motel on the beach in Lincoln City as I type this. Gray skies, glassy water, 1 to 3 ft waves right out front, 5 surfers bobbing up and down in the break and some seals cruising by. The surfers are getting some 3 to 5 footers by the reef just to the north of us.

Very light breeze at the moment but looks like a wind line about 3/4 mile off shore. The forecast doesn't look too good for this event. 12mph!? Looks like I should have brought the long board!

Updates as conditions warrant. Back to you Bob.

Tony

It will be interesting to see what kind of wind they do get. I have never kited LC but the weekend forecast for wind overall on the coast looks okay (10-20.)

If they don't get any wind at all then I then think it will show that location just isn't good for this type of event.

maybe...though LC can be pretty good (sorry JUMPIN JIMI)... it might just show that this guy doesn't know a lot about when the right time to plan it would be...or that any event on the coast is going to require a range of dates to be successful...
