What about the naked guy in the white sneakers, shadow boxing. He seems pretty normal. |

Wow !
sounds like people parading around doing what they feel , some without clothes and some flying kites .
I seen people that are ugly , scary even with clothes on , I look the other way .
I'll make cracks about people with my friends , I'm not perfect .
I have used my jet boat to get to remote camping and have gone naked in the sun for an afternoon like "Planet of the Apes" or " Quest for Fire " shit and me and my mama we ......
Well thats the point isn't it , you have to stop at some point and take others into thought .
Especially when there are children involved .
But now I have another reason to visit the Gorge , I gotta see this Captain dude ,LOL
It's like a bad accident , you have to look . Aaaaagh
Now you have something else to try to explain to your children , good luck with that one .
Isn't life a treat !

Its exclusive behavior if you do not want your 12 year old daughter seeing 50 old man schlongs in one day. _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

Signs, signs, everywhere there are signs saying "entering clothing optional area"
PDX MKB, you think your opinion is morally superior but it is merely relative. All behavior cannot be regulated. There will be assholes who take advantage of situations. Captain America seems to be an exhibitionist. So what? Because you've done what the majority of people can do, produce spawn, your view of the world is now more refined and you have a better understanding of what should be important to ALL. You WANT to kite with your kids near, you WANT to have your kids play on a sandy beach, you want to kite where you want when you want, you don't want to have to explain to your kids why others engage in distasteful behavior. And...you want others to agree so the situation can be changed for the "greater good".
If you were alone, it would simply be an irritation or a source of jokes (captain america and his posse).
Sure, post your disgust, give the phone number of the manager, but your reasoning makes you look like another sanctimoniously parent who thinks having kids is the greatest thing one can do and that everyone should do what is best for your kids. _________________ Gun control means hitting the bulls eye... |

EDITED TO DELETE PISSED OFF POST.
Lets make it real simple. If you can't actually debate the issue and explain why sharing the beach would be bad, all it means is that you have no argument. You know it so you make personal attacks rather than try and come up with a rational position. A rational position simply means explain how setting aside a portion of the beach for clothed beach goers would be bad. How exactly would the nudist community lose? What exactly would be the negative? Is an acre of beach per user somehow bad? Why?
Let's dispel this BS myth that RR has always been clothing optional. That is a LOAD OF CRAP. There used to be a large family friendly sandy beach that has shrunk and turned to mud. The river changed, as it does. The boundaries should change to reflect this.
If you don't think the boundaries should change, explain how it would negatively impact any given user group. Or I guess you could make a personal attack on those of us who don't share your view. After all, anyone who doesn't agree with you must be an asshole.
Christ, I thought the Ultra Right wing was intolerant. |

I get a lot of sessions at Rooster
aside from that dildo find (don't really want to top that one)
One of the more memorable outings last year was super high water - the trail to down to the beach was chest deep - ever the optimist - put kite and skim on top of head and waded down the path in my dry suit - pretty certain there was no dry land or spot to drift launch but you never know for sho
20 minutes later come to the end of the trail - still waist deep but a hummock of dry land is exposed - wade over but claiming the high ground is Crockodile Dundee - swamp boots - Australian hat and thats it (that was a sad skunk and not one of the nekid movie characters on my list) _________________ Go Deep!

Wow, I do some actual work at work for a day and look at all the fun I missed!
Giant lasers (or sharks with laser beams?) separating the beach sections - signage problem solved!
I'm just stoked this thread's not locked yet. (Oh, and that it's gonna be windy here tomorrow). |
