OK, OK, I know he was probably just curious, but still...
Down here in Lincoln City with Joanne for our anniversary. Staying on the beach. Launched right in front of our hotel, the "D" Sands. Got maytaged a few times trying to get past the break. Finally made it past! First time getting past the break. Yay. BFD.
Having a good time, 11m wind, I'm looking up at the top of some of the swells. Lots of fun. I see some seals jumping. Coming clear out of the water. I go check it out, figuring they'd take off or go deep. Suddenly, they're jumping right by me, I could have touched them. Scared the shit out of me, they damn near hit me. Why aren't they afraid of me?
Oh, they're afraid of something else. Big ass shark. I've never been afraid of sharks, so I just leave the area, no biggie. Fucker turns and folows me. Still no big deal I figure. I'm on the shorebound tack, going with the swell. So I pour it on and blast out of there. I mean I'm hauling ass.
Still not scared, I figure he's going to follow the seals. I look back. His snout is like 10 feet behind me. His God Damn dorsal fin is about 50 feet back it seems like. Ok, probably not that far, but a long god damned ways. That fucker followed me all the way to the shore break. I never fucking slowed down.
Intellectually, I know he was just curious. Probably... Emotionally, HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Session over.
In all seriousness, he had to be at least 15 feet long, maybe biggerr. He looked as big as my boat. |

| I took my dog to the river today here in Vancouver. I didn't see any sharks but I did find a huge bucket of bullshit. Give me a fucking break. I go surfing all the time and never a shark. You go into the ocean for the first time and cross paths with a 15 footer. Question, did a unicorn give you a ride home as well pinochio? Stop telling ridiculous stories. All you who believe this goon are fucking retards as well. I know fish and wildlife will call bullshit on this story don't even bother reporting your "nessy" sighting unless your just going for some attention. Then be prepared for a bunch of people calling you out on your little bo peep fibs. |

Edited to delete response to troll. Obviously he's too stupid to be worth a response.
OK, usually I don't respond to trolls, but I'm drunk. Last edited by Nak on Mon Aug 17, 09 5:34 pm; edited 1 time in total |

yeah when you see the seals hanging in the shallows for no reason or acting funny or bait balls surfacing not the place to explore or check out.
It is fun to go up to the whales but it realistically not the best idea but I am hoping to punch one some day...
If you stop pissin in your suit all the time the sharks won't follow you around so much
Sharks are an exciting aspect to the ocean...
Kind of like salmon fishing around kodiak bears or moster griz.
Lots of good shark foods near rivermouths .
Thats why downwinders on the north coast is so epic to escape the sharkier areas of the south coast.
glad to hear your experience was so mellow as far as sharkplay. |

| Today I was out running from sharks and saw a whale. Someone told me Joanne sightings were really rare but I saw one today. She wouldn't shut up about hitting up Denny's... Anyhow, back to the topic. You're full of shit you day old man. My diaper is full. Gotta run. Maybe you were drunk and saw a sea urchin and thought it was a shark. Nick nak give that pig a bone |
