1st day of snowkite trip, no wind, but we got $25 lift tickets out of it, and made a day of snowboarding. Sid got a helmet camera, I strapped it on, and we practiced a little filming.

We had a good time, but we are hoping for wind for the next two days.
Kiting in this weather would have been amazing.

If you follow the link instead, it will show it on a bigger screen. It's a wide angle lens, so he's a little small already.
We can't wait to give this a try in the ocean!

go get it..

the wind looks best sunday with still a pretty weak prediction but I am coming to
have some fun and burn up some of last years expensive gas out of the sleds with stable additive of course.

don't get frustrated yet and go home the wind may always blow the next day Laughing

its snowkiting ...go over the safety proceedures to help cloud the wait.

I will show you what those big kites from yesteryear were for if its light.

The camera we used is a $200, with attachments, go pro motor sport wide angle. http://www.goprocamera.com/
Saturday, complications with several things, so snowkiting canceled as a group. Some guys were hitching rides. Sid and I are holding out for Sun and hoping it all comes together. Very Happy

Awesome final day for Bend snowkite fest! Sunny beautiful day with good winds blowing straight up the hill Amazing to ski up a mountain so effortlessly. Oh yeah and Alex Peterson and Aaron Sales throwing huge air off the side of the hill, insane.

Big thanks to Tim, Matt, Pat, Neil, Nick and everybody else who helped put the event on!

Big big big props to BKC and all their affiliates. The effort was huge (Tim, that you got any photos while working as hard as you did is amazing).

Kiting there was awesome and watching the advanced snowkiters in this terrain was unbelievable.

Great event and location!!

I wanted to throw my hat in the ring of "Thanks to the Bend Kite Crew" and all the guys the volunteered their time and their sleds as well. There were a few unfortunate things happen, but they persevered, and I for one had a great time!
Thanks for all you did!
