It's probably somewhere at the bottom of the Columbia but just in case it came off on land the ring is a mens gold wedding band lost sometime between 2:00 and 4:30. Big Karma boost and modest reward to anybody that finds it.

thanks,

jc

The Columbia is a pretty long river. Perhaps you could tell us where you were riding and hopefully it fell off in the parking lot or on shore.

At least it was your wedding band and not hers. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I was riding up at Wells Island but I was rigging in the spit parking lot by New Winds kite school. The wife took it pretty well all things considered but this is getting to be one hell of an expensive hobby. Sad

BTW, next month is our 13th anniversary so I know what she'll be getting me and it's NOT a new kite. Sad Sad

I've got one in the Columbia too. 12yrs ago at Doug's. If you gotta loose it, that's a good place at least you know where it is.

I'm considering going to a tattoo for a ring... mine bothers me on the kite bar, and I've never really been into jewelry anyway.

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to put on there. I want something related to the water... but such a little place to work with... anyone have any good suggestions?

The Columbia has claimed two of mine. Katie was just happy to see me alive the first time. Second time we both just decided to stop wearing rings during the summer.

Janet broke her finger kiting a few years ago and it swelled so much that they had to cut her ring off. I figured I just stop wearing mine kiting to be on the safe side.

Sorry to hear about your ring.. time to upgrade

So is the consensus that nobody wears their ring when rigged?

A tattoo for a ring was something we considered when we got engaged but in the end we felt it was equivalent to getting your significant other's name tattooed on your body, it's the kiss of death for relationships.

Ring hurts between the finger and bar - alot if unhooked! Go titanium and don't wear it while operating machinery etc!
