| I have nothing to do today so I am thinking of making the drive over if the wind starts to come around in the next hour or two

Looks like I'm not as proficient at upwind riding as I had hoped Good thing my wife was there to pick me up where the schools set up after I launched from the event site.

Ike, Dude, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat. My wife was standing on the sandbar as you rolled past. I was on the red kite. I saw you having some issues and was walking through the shallow water to help you out but looked like you got a good landing in the end. The wind was a little light at a few points and there is a giant eddy near that red buoy in the water where you were riding that makes going upwind kind of difficult if you're not lit.
Hope you had a good session in the end dude, would've liked to have met ya!

Yeah I got a bit frustrated there And never having ridden there I was afraid I was going to end up in that "dead" zone that I have heard about somewhere there where the HR meets the Columbia. But it was still fun. The lessons I have taken there were jet ski assisted up by wells island where I didn't have to worry about staying upwind. Ive just got to work on that upwind thing.Sorry to hear about your grill. Hope to meet you next time,Im sure ill see you down there eventually

| You just need more water time and a little more wind! Wind was a bit light. Were you on a 9m?

| I was on a 10 Bularoo but was definitely having to work the kite at times just to stay afloat, when I would try to edge the power would just go away

Yea, me too. 8m Havoc I was in the super flat water which gave me an advantage cause you can have super strong technique and be easy on the edge. For the most part I was under powered but a few puffs would come through and I'd gain ground. I also ride a bit bigger of a board than I should, but I like to ride a smaller kite and bigger board... You'll get it dude!

| Do you think a 13 would have been too much at 180 lbs, Board was a 138 skywalker?
