This will not be even close to the MAUI post and there will be some sort of pictures soon. My excuses are 1) that I´m alone and 2) today grabbed the wrong patch cord for my camera but this place is pretty fun.
After two days of light and onshore, Porto Morelos yesterday delivered packed 15m on the fun little reef and awesome lonely beach. Today was more exiciting at Isla Blanca north of Cancun which is waist deep flat water that noooooked. Good thing my smallest kite was an 11m  but I looked real manly anyway... after an hour drive through backwoods Cancun, dirt roads and sketchy directions I was kiting damit.
Props to Ikarus and the generousity of Focca (owner-leader) who is setting up a nice kite camp there. First reach and jump snapped my harness strap and lost my spreader bar but he had a spare in the shack. Believe me its nice when you loose your shit and can walk for 500m to gather it w-o swimming. Great folks and excellent spot. Going to Tulum w- the family tomorrow.

| Kited Tulum last week was pretty good 2 days powered on 14 one day on 11. If you get a chance check out hidden world cenotes snorkling tours it is absolutly amazing about 10 mi north of tulum on the west side of the highway.

Here's some shots, sorry no action but these show the areas pretty well. I was able to replace my lost spreader bar again thanks to Ikarus in Playa del Carmen but the strap was another problem that a piece of rope fixed keeping me on the water.
Overall, it delivered wind everyday. I was able to take advantage of 4 out of 7. I hooked up with a couple of other gringos from Utah and the bay area.
Super fun, let me know if any of you go there and I can give you some good info.

here's a short clip but shows the area. by far the lightest day. thanks to my wife for filming a little bit... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pf4N31wE48Y - check out the break offshore. it got to be head high faces on the big sets  , great spot for flatwater, then waves on the reef south about two kilometers near the channel and out of the nat'l park (no kiting on the nat'l park part of the reef).

I got hastled the evening of the day of this vid. It picked up real nice and I grabbed the kite and ran up the beach. A gentleman who looked like he might have been a student at the marine bio university there in town was trying to communicate to me that I needed to put my kite down (en espanol), it was a nat'l park, tourists, etc.
He was upset but I told him I had asked locals and that they said it was ok. This was all in broken spanish and english so the conversation wasn't really going too well. Evenually, I put the kite down.
A french guy came up and said he followed the conversation and that he felt I should know that when the guy left, he was laughing like he was happy to ruin my buzz. That settled it and I launched and kited until after dark. Had another great sesh at dawn before flying out.

Nice trip! You guys convinced us to try Isla Blanca for a couple of days. Forecast looks good on Sunday and light but ride-able Monday. Anyways, could you post some directions on how to find the Ikarus school at Isla Blanca? We're going to break the new diggs in Saturday & Sunday night. Where is the closest place to find food? Thanks for any info you can give us!
