What is the windy season for Cancun.

A new airline is offering 9.99 flights (each way) from cancun to austin, so I want to lock some shit down!

- travel north from the airport on ramp on hwy 307 ~10km.
- veer right onto Ave Bonumpak, you will see a wood tower (see picture 'isla blanca turnoff in cancun for bonompak ave.jpg'); Bonumpak is a major north-south road that parallels hwy 307 to the east and you travel ~16km on this road all the way through cancun and takes about 20-25 minutes through city, then outskirts towards puerto juarez, look for signs to isla blanca & puerto juarez which is the ferry to isla mujeres.
- the road ends at a roundabout where you go left on a dirt road (see picture 'isla blanca turnoff-roundabout.jpg') and travel ~5.2km; you'll see the pirate flag from earlier this thread and some taller buildings off to the right.
- look for sign "isla blanca" and go left (see picture 'isla blanca - turnoff 2.jpg') and travel ~1.8km to the ikarus turn off
- go left at the ikarus turn off

Thanks Barfly!!! Very Happy How far away is the nearest good food? Do you think staying at Ikarus will be fun, or is there nothing, or anything, nearby? Thanks again!

sorry, there didn't appear to be anything remotely close for dining. I think the ikarus cabanas have kitchens so I would plan on making a supermarket stop. you might want to check with Focca on that one. however, cancun is not that far away even though you feel like you are remote out there. we didn't stay in cancun so I don't know of anything in particular but there are lots of restaurants as you could imagine, if you wanted to get out for a dinner or something.
