Yeah, there's supposedly better video footage and pics coming later. Looks pretty sweet from the far away pics posted so far. Curious to see how much wave riding they managed to get in with turns, etc. vs. riding the swell in and then getting the hell outta there. They're badass for charging it regardless.

Sounds like we need to step it up and hit Nelscott Reef with some jet ski support. Can't have Oregon kiters losing out to Cali. Who's in? Wink

Sick pic Phil. Didn't show up the first time for some reason.

that looks cool, but no need to move: "he has been waiting 4 yrs for something like SAT"

will be great to see the footage, but seems like the kite will become more and more of a handicap on such a big and fast wave. imagine the apparent wind down that face. good thing they had crossbows.

well it's frontal north wind
so what about Nelscot?
I'm ready how about you?

Surfers/kiters like Jeff
are pretty rare

if it was 9.0 at MAV it would be
CAKE
Oh ya it's been cake at home too

I'm sure those surfys respect those kiters (and share)

I would imagine it's a lot harder to sit there and take the beating than to ride around on a board with a kite
respect your surfys

Kind of rough footage, but gives you the idea.
