Awesome! Fyi, the August 13-14 race conflicts with the last Seattle Cabrinha race of the summer.

Yes bummed we had to overlap. It was the only weekend left that didn't have something going on in the Gorge! Sorry for the confusion guys. Hope to see the local Hood River crew there and the Seattle crew on the 27th for the final race of the season.

I'm thrilled that you are doing this!
Do you have a set race schedule for Saturday?
Since nearly all of the talented junior Hood River kiters that I know (Vetea 10, Trey 11, Charlie 12, Austin 13, Brendan 16, Taylor 15, Elliott 13, John 15) also play lacrosse, and varsity lax coach Mack Jackson is offering a free lacrosse clinic 9-2 on Saturday, the ideal kite race schedule would include a junior heat after 3pm.
If you agree that including junior participation should be a priority and you're willing to adjust the race schedule accordingly, I'll encourage the kids named above to be ready to transition quickly from lacrosse to kiting on Saturday afternoon.

Where do you think we could start from? It would be awesome if we could do it on the Last weekend and use both Saturday and Sunday race dates and have a weekend packed full of FUN on the water. Let me know what you think. |
There is no blowout organize, except for some of our crazy ideas currently occuring via this topic on NW Kite

End of summer is usually not a great time for Blowout due to winds not typically filled in enough throughout the entire corridor, but hey, it's the Blowout. It's always F'ng difficult to finish, wind or no wind.
BTW - If you can work things out with Cory to get the juniors on the water, you'll be doing a great thing. Those kids are amped to ride!
