Well, it's official then. I just got the 23rd, 24th and 25th off work and we all already know I got weekends off so I guess I am going but I still don't understand if there is a registration fee or can we all just go out there and meet up and have a good time for basically free together? It don't cost money to go romp around up there and stuff? There was a video that said they would be helping beginners learn how to do it and demo stuff and all that, it sounds like that would cost money right? Either way, I got me and 3 other friends who "say" they are going so I'm stoked!

They probably have the contest details on the website, or will soon, but in recent years the poker run has not been expensive to enter...$45 I think and a good chance at prizes.
But the wind and the riding are free! Everyone should hit up this event once...it's an awesome 208 experience.

I am planning on going, went last year and got skunked 3 of 4 days so this year has got to be the redemption.
Usually I can figure out what the acronyms mean but what is a '208 experience'?

Idaho area code is 208....and this particular part of Idaho is just pristine for snowkiting.

I'm back in the Gorge and will probably be driving over to check this out, or flying into Boise and renting a rig, so anyone from the 541 and 503 want to roll alongside pm me. Nak, possibly a caravan etc???

Hey,
I have talked to a few ID locals and they all say that Fairfield sucks balls and just has a bunch of mormons and farmers there. I like how close it is to Soldier MT but I heard there is only 1 tiny bar in the whole town. I just wanted to see what your guys' experiences in Fairfield have been. I am confident hanging out with snowkiters in a little town in ID will be sweet but does anybody have any info that I can have to give to my friends to get them stoked to get this room in Fairfield with me? I don't really feel like going farther away to Bellevue or Ketchum but I just have not heard good things about Fairfield. I'm sure it's fine but give me some ammo to get my friends stoked! Please

There is nothing wrong with Fairfield except you can't find PBR in stock!

The locals you talked to are right, Fairfield blows nuts except for 3 days when Snowkiters from around the world take IT OVER. If you can't sell your friends on partying with you, I'm afraid you may not have the cajones to roll into this alcohol-fueled mayhem we call Snowkite Soldier and come out alive.
You're prolly safer staying at home and downloading the video afterwards.......
See the rest of ya crazies out there!

I'm going if THE world famous cougar hunter is going. My favorite Blake quote ever..
"I don't care if she's old, I'm totally going to hit that"
"dude, fuck off, that's my mom"
"ha, ha, ha fuck you, that's not your mom"
"Dude, knock it off, that IS my mom"
"seriously?"
"Yeah seriously!"
"ohhh, sorry dude".

Soldier Snowkite event is legit..!
Conditions great for all levels.
Props for all those kiters migrating to fairfield.
Trust me - your making a positive dent in there economy.
They aint got much, as we learned when we drank the town dry of miller high life's.
I'm sure they won't make that mistake twice.

Stoked to see everyone at the event.
I wanna throw a shout to support the Soldier Creek Brewery. the owner is a kiter and the brewery is the best place in town for brews&chews. Internet accesable to. Every Thursday is jam night with the band "Back Pedal". The Soldier Creek Brewery is the best in town.

You've got to be kidding, I figured the monkey was indigenous to snow and took to the frozen prairie like white on rice!
