This is one of the few events I look forward to every year. The parties and none on the snow can't be beat. Of your on the fence about going and have not been before its an easy decision. You'll regret not going when you hear all the stories and see all the pictures.

Is there room for beginners at the soldier event weekend, my wife is learning and would like to be able to continue learning but might get a little nervous if there is only advanced kiters blasting all around her. Any info would be great, Thanks

Bailey,

The tundra is wide, the kiters relatively few... Plenty of room for all... See ya there...

Plus, snowkiting is THE WAY to learn this kiting game and much easier than the water cousin....

Bams

Gordon, ready to learn how to really use that speedy speed wing?

See you there Brian and Bammers! Considering pulling the 31ft. Airstream out for added enjoyment. Does anyone know if there are any RV parks close to the event?

Kite Soldiers 2011 ~ February 24th-27th

Now’s the time to lock your calendars for the 5th Annual Kite Soldiers snowkite event and the North American Snowkite Tour Championship, February 24th through the 27th. Let’s gear up for a weekend filled with epic Idaho snowkiting and an unforgettable time. If you missed our event in year’s past, you may have heard the rumors… that we’ve taken the snowkite community by storm and secured Kite Soldiers as a premiere snowkite event in the world.

Snowkiters from around the globe will drop in on Fairfield, a small mountain ski town in central Idaho. Why must you be at Kite Soldiers 2011? Besides the famous Poker Run and the chance to demo the latest gear, the world-class sliders and kickers and the loads of free swag, the beers afterwards and the addicting vibe, we are confident you must come to Idaho for snowkite terrain that will blow your mind and an event that will leave you buzzing for years to come.

The Poker Run is amazing fun for every kiter of all levels to try their lucky hand at running a course and winning top-of-the-line gear simply by holding the best poker hand. We are also proud to announce Kite Soldiers as the North American Snowkite Tour CHAMPIONSHIP location! That’s right, we are adding a competitive platform to our event with course racing and freestyle competition. We will crown skiers and snowboarders, men and women who have competed in tour stops in Montana, Colorado, Utah and Idaho and showcased their talent and snowkite ability. Who will be our NAST champions? Attend the events, compete and you could be crowned North American Snowkite Tour royalty!

Please visit www.snowkiteevent.com for further details… maps, lodging, registration, schedule and more. DON'T MISS OUT! REGISTER ONLINE NOW & SAVE $... CASH and prizes will be awarded!

See you at launch time!

Monty & Trisha

Whoooa, wait a minute. There are Christians in Idaho? I thought the Christians were evacuated for the event?

Super stoked to hit even though I am incredibly out of shape.

Dude Cunnypuff, you should totally go to the kite soldier event. You never know, you might meet a cute kiter chic that will make you actually want to learn to kite.

Three of us are heading over.

I'm bringing everything, but I'm curious what's the wind usually like at the kiting spot or spots?

I've only snowkited once at snowdaze. That was 9m, which was at first a whiteout, but then mellowed out to a great session.

It all depends, it can be light 13-15m and as strong as 7m/8m.

G-Dog.... I can't make it bro..... I totally would go but I am attempting a world record kite distance. Emelia flew around the world! Guess what bro? I'm kiting around the world cha! With the assistance of my friend Tonty Montana, it should only take me about 4 days.... Global warming has totally messed with barometric pressure and the wind is insane near the Indian Ocean... I plan on riding a boost a good 43% of the time....

And bro, what's up with the learn to kite comments? If you wanna be a troll take it to another site cha.... Right on... PS We need to get some balls and take that fuckin beach!

Hey bra, no bad vibes here, just sounds like you're bored like you haven't gotten laid in months and you don't really know how to kite - just figured you might be able to kill two birds with one stone at the kite soldier event.

Well G-dog... my bros-hoff! Like, if you're going off of sound right now that is totally the issue.... I got my volume cranked and by the sound of what I'm getting, your full of shit! When I'm done kiting around the world I'm gonna come shred the soldiers at your event! Until then let's be civil and bust out some real gaggers! Chaaaaaaaa
