This weather sucks and has me thinking of traveling already. What trips are people going on this winter?

So far have Maui booked but looking for some inspiration to go some other places.

I wish ,
Recuperating from broken femur ,ribs , collar bone
My Doctor told me I'm allowed to put all my weight on my leg now , gradually .
I watch kiters . I dream of kiting .
I have been using the pool for about 5wks now just maintaining r.o.m and a little muscle .
I went to Ottawa for my Mothers 75th Bday.
Of course while there I check out the kite scene . Some not bad places on the Ottawa River and a nice group I met . I saw a young fella( teens ) in a field not far from the Parliament bldgs. Had a chat with him about land kiting and him using a reg. board vs a mountain board .
Sorry to the point ,
Where ever you all go , enjoy the kiting and the people you meet , young and old
Very Happy

SPI IS ON RIGHT NOW!!

wind has been cranking, its hot out, and hotel rooms are at 22.95 / night all up and down the island.

actually no wind today, but scored a super good surf session this morning at mansfield and brought home a 40lb redfish.

winds back on tomorrow. Round-UP kicker, funbox, and A frame are going back in the water this week.

Oahu, kiting at Kailua. Leave this Wed. I am highly distracted with anticipation and therefore pretty much useless and unproductive. I did get my golf bag packed tonite though! Very Happy

What size kite did you use. I've read its very windy. Also want to take a big kite for the northern coast. There will be 8 of us so trying to keep total kite count down. Did you stay in La Serana, or some place closer? Were you able to kite any other place while in Chile? We are also going to copiapo. Have read there are places in the ocean around this part of Chile.
