Nail his ass. I know that other people have posted stuff about stings. I think that monkeyboy or someone on the forum wrote something about the setup. Apparently the police don't act until there is an actual meeting. Sound like you are on it but Keep ontop of this stuff. Good luck to you and if you need an extra knife in the fight let me know. Somehow seems like everyone on this forum is more into shanking than shooting. It's more personal that way. |

what's the listing? do you want anyone to ask him some questions about the kite to determine if it is yours?

This is the eBay auction on this kite. There are already several people inquiring about this kite from our kite community. One guy in Seattle asked if he could drop by and view the kite, but was told by the seller "I'm much to busy for that, take it or leave it". My hope is that the Tacoma Police Dept works on this. Ebay will release the IP address to agency inquiries so Tacoma could at least know if this clown is posting from a PC in Pierce County. We should probably not inquire with too many questions for risk of ruining the TPD sting operation if they run one.:

just make sure the popo are on top of it. I do believe there is another agency that deals with internet fraud/ stolen or bogus items. Can't remember the name however. You should inquire as to how the police intent to get your item back... |

I was thinking the same thing. 300 + days of sun over there or there abouts. He should of said not enough wind. . . Everything he said in the add sounded fishy. Done with Spring break and I got to go back to work. I think should of said back to school at Gonzaga. . .
If your not convinced, take a look at his other auction items. . .ipod, GPS, etc.
Nail him. |

Dude that sucks Wylie. I hope you nail them to the wall. Moreover I hope that they get put in prison with a huge gorilla of a dude who's been in jail a bit too long. F**k those tweakers.
To prevent sketchers from taking my gear I now run an uber-think, uncuttable bike lock cable through the bridles of my helixes (which i leave at the top of the bag when packing up). I also run this cable through the middle of the lines on my bars, so basically they've got to destroy the bridles and lines in order to get the gear. _________________ Old school tricks are rad Last edited by KitesofFury on Thu Apr 15, 10 2:25 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I wonder how this E-bay seller got a brand new in a box Bulova watch worth $300, too. I hope they catch him and you get your kites back! It does make me wonder how many items sold on Ebay are legit now. |

This guy is either the perp or the fence, no doubt about it. I hope the TPD gets this bastard!
If the TPD won't go after it, maybe we should chip in and buy this kite. Then wylieflyote can ID it as stolen and we then have a bonafide Police report of stolen property. Ideally, the buyer would be in Oregon, not Washington, that will get the FBI involved. If it turns out to be legit, we can donate the kite to KB4C. I'll step up and commit to $50. Any other takers? |

I like the way you think. I will throw down $50. If we can make a statement that the Kite community looks out for their own, the crooks might stop fencing our kites and stick with laptops. _________________ MS |

Count me in for $20. $50 if we can visit the local jail and taunt him. I think he should also be enrolled in Spikes spelling class. I mean, jesus! |

Anyone ever contacted the Ebay Security & Resolution Center for support?
http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/law_enforcement.html
I've never even used Ebay, much less this service they offer, so I don't know if this is the best approach or not. Looks like an option tho.... _________________ Lets FLY |

Yeah that's pretty much how it works with kiting.
I think I'll just by me a kite and use it for a week. Rip it up in Mexico... no big deal... then I'll get rid of it. It's so easy anybody can do it. Just like this guy that was posted recently...
