If you followed the other STOLEN thread you noticed me giving advice on how not to get gear ripped off.
Now my lock-up shed at home was broken into and all me kites and boards are gone.
Purchased late 2009 so these kites have less than 6 sessions

Please help by looking in all the usual CL, eBay places.

that sucks so bad.
I had my stuff stolen a few years ago and renter's insurance covered it entirely (minus a small deductible).
if you have a few grand in kite equipment renters or homeowners insurance is a pretty sweet deal, its not that expensive at all.

I almost caught a thief in the act today. I was finishing up a run around 6pm at Forest Park in Portland off 53, as I was approaching the parking lot a suspicious looking fellow with a baseball hat was walking along side the parked cars and looking inside through the windows. As soon as he noticed me he went into his car. I managed to write his license plate #. Called Portland parks and recreation to report it but no one answered. Will try tomorrow. Thought about calling the cops but it's not really a 911 incident!! I'm sure that MTF is part of that whole F#$%@N damn network of stinking losers!!! I hope my timing helped avoid another theft!!!

Get the F outta here! No way! That is so terrible! I use to live in Lakewood on Lake Steilacoom (10 minutes from Tacoma). They now call it Lake StillaCompton. Tons of weirdo's, thieves & tweekers. I moved when someone got shot at our local gas station. I don't miss Tacoma at all. Miss our friends & the house.

I hope you can make an insurance claim. FYI - for all you who are reading, if you don't own a home, you can get renters insurance and the coverage is pretty impressive. I think it may also include auto break-ins. Not sure though.

A guy in Spokane just listed a blue/black '09 Helix 9 complete today on EBay. I thought it seemed like a legit listing, but you might check it out. Says it has the 5th line kit on it too, which I doubt you had on yours.

I hope you get it all back. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks, I've turned the eBay listing number in to the Tacoma Police Dept. I'm almost completely certain from the pictures that it's my Helix. And looking at his other auctions I start to wonder if it's stuff lifted from smash and grabs in N Tacoma.

looked up the e-bay listing, seems like a completely bogus listing to me. Who buys a kite for just a single trip? at least the blatters (sic) are in good shape. Its got stolen written all over it.
