I wouldn't be surprised if they are already working on it. Hope everyone is ready for google to take over the world. |

Nice article Phil, but you gotta post something more direct if you expect the masses plagued with ADD to catch on

Another thing that sucks about Apple, the Genius Bar. Got a problem with your Apple product, no problem, they'll help you next week when they can get to it. Hope your iPhone doesn't break while trying to update to the software right before you leave for a trip like mine did. I had to practically stand in front of the store with a picket sign to get them to take a look at it before the flight left.

Yes, I prefer my computer not to crash - thats why I prefer Mac
Forrest - in an earlier post you talked about spyware and virus being an issue for both systems. You R correct.
However, aren't most malware crap designed for PCs - there are more out there - so if you got nothing better to do with your time than sit around and write crap ware - aren't you going to want to infect the biggest audiance - which is PC users.
As Macs get more and more of the market share I am sure you will you see more and more malware written for Macs

I love my Macs...but seriously, WTF! Why can't I have both backspace and delete? Switching between my work laptop and my Mac makes me angry

My boss's PC got infected with a trojan right in the middle of a presentation today! It was sweet... meeting was cut short. Bottom line - computers suck, but everyone keeps buying 'em so I can afford new kite gear! Just recycle them when you're done please.

Been on PCs from the very start.
first box was a Zenith Z100. w/ Dual OS
Dad was a computer scientist.
-working on early single board computers
KIM iirc (not my wife) was one of them
remember a game called wumpus
played on a hexadecimal display.
PDP8, PDP11 came along next....
First CAD I ran had no mouse.
It's not the computer.
It's the operator.

I'm in the same boat, but I think I'm going to get parralels for the Mac..(you can use both OS's)
any info on this..? or any help for a "user"
The main reason I dont' use my MAc for work now is because I use Outlook...I guess with parallels I can have it all..

This is the only thing that needs to get fixed, but it looks like it won't be until the end of next year.

Yes that is important - but in all seriousness - do both systems require the same amount of maintenance? Is one lower maintenance?

For those who are following and care.... upgrade from Vista to Win7 is Easy. Takes a while, but seemless. Just beware the XP to Win7.

Moto: Right, Malware is a good indication of market share. The malicious software market is going to spend it's time working on the target of greatest interest or the easiest target. As Windows has become more resilient against attack, attention has been turned to Mac. OSX is where Windows NT was in terms of a mature and tested security posture.
