here's another from our last day in Florence - Jim & Phil must have gone 2 miles powered by wind before we could catch them with the rig...

you wanna try it? be my guest (we can hook you up)
we don't roll big boards and dangle surfin (kite high ass bobbers)
you could come and ride some surf with him as well ,
they are 2 different things surfing and kiting
When you live at the beach you know this
but you can spew your negetive vibe as well ,
it's a (semi) free forum

Sometimes it amazes me how different people can be when writing on the internet vs. in person. I still don't understand how putting a keyboard and monitor in front of an otherwise seemingly cool person can turn them into an asshole.
Lets get back to sharing some love.
For me the weekend was an awesome way to end a great summer. Spending several days together at the beach with some cool homies, killer waves, great white sharks, kite eating jetties, annoying sea lions, and one too many cloves of garlic.
Super thanks to Colby for sharing his home with us

Wow! Easy BH. Didn’t mean any offense or negative vibe. Just thought it was interesting observation.
I have ridden on the South coast with Dale, Greg, Nate, etc. Those guys rip for sure. I remember one day out at Whiskey Run with Dale. It was cranking over 40mph and the wind swell was crazy big. Good times!! Post session we were sitting on Dale’s tailgate and he holds the anemometer out, it reads 42-43…

perhaps you haven't met Markie ,but it was his pal Brock who I quoted .
ok I overreacted ,sorry
somewhat sensitive to what's cool in kiting
I get sick of the "the problem with kiting" kind of mindset
I don't think there is a right way to have fun
EDIT
asshole ,This is directed at me ?
coming to a guys backyard and calling his pals (surfers in white suburban)
who may or may not have committed a crime, names is not a very good start to getting to know someone.
I kite with surfers more than kiters so if they stole your kite it's not somebody I know ,but getting ANY unsubstansiated aquasations about the guys you hang with is pretty bad ,we all rely on each other for survival here.
So don't start something that's impossible to finish
It sucks that the kite disappeared
but until you have evidence it's just venting on my account
because I have to live with these dudes
and they can read
The thread was going along just fine until that happened
which is sad ,

| Twins in the surf are gay. Once you get it, you don't go back to riding the lunch trays.

Flo guys got their own style, takes a lot of skill to ride the way they do... its not "gay" by any means.
Quite a few of them are also life long surfers, so I think they know what's up with riding waves.

Yeah we don't get up to the gorge to ride the swell to know that the twin tips lunch trays don't work in the ocean waves. You should foreward your thoughts to Jimi Lewis and John Amundson so they stop making custom boards for us.
Thanks snowmelt river I knew something was holding us back . Your anti gay vibe may be revoutionary... oh wait I guess the evolution for big waves and big wind has come back to twin preference.... kind of like c kites to waroos and other bows back to good OLD fuels. Keep it simple....
Can I get some lessons from you? I love watching good riders and learning.
Those pictures are not Florence that place blows .... I guess thats why its so popular for the gays.
How much are the new Naish c kites anyway and they make the twin tips still..
Twin tips is that like crossing swords...

| If I lived in the ditch and didn't know how to surf I'd think riding a surfboard with handlebars in the Pacific would be cool too snowmeltriver! Twin Pride!

You guys are so sensitive.... Just checking for reactions.
Pretty funny how folks are so protective of their style/spot/board choice/etc...
No harm intended.
It was an epic cycle at the coast and it was great to share it with so many happy people. I had to put the straps back on my board (which makes me gay in some circles.)
Funny shit though. People.
