just use a Go-jo, that way you'll see it, it will float, and it will even look cool!

thats really stupid

why do you need to look through your board - and then how are going to stick to slick piece of plexiglass - wax or hein pads?

really really stupid

unless you can get some sand texture that your sneaks would stick to and preserve its translucent quality - then it

would be really really cool

you could make it 2 layers with a skeletonized frame core between, core could be all plexi or a mix, lot of choices of material and adhesives, tuning options.
could be interesting ( hein? )
plexiglass is so fun to cut, isn't it? Rolling Eyes
Typical 135-140 would need around 2l space inside for float if the top/bottom sheets were 6mm. Probably doable, geeky tech look but with plenty of clear left to see through... Hmmm. Idea

It's not plexiglass. That stuff breaks really easily.

It's polycarbonate. Like I used for my Thin Fins.
Easy to machine, actually. I just cut some for
a buddy's Hein board. Just need to foil them a bit.

Acrylic (plexiglas) vs Polycarbonate (lexan)

so which one is the board really?

Acrylic is used in hockey arenas and they mention hockey boards in the movie but yet it sounds like maybe its really polycarbonate?

here's an article that explains the difference between the two materials. its a short and interesting read. I learned something new from it Smile

SBC Kiteboard has a story about it in this issue. It's also online: Acrylite Kiteboard. My understanding is that it is called plexiglass in Germany, but it's not the same as the material known by that name in the US. That is why the Youtube video calls it plexiglass.
