Sweet pictures Colby
That was my first time there. Its definitely a great little run for building you confidence. I was trying to learn how to slide the board to kill some speed, and finally started to get it. I managed to do like 5 in a row and was thinking, wow this isn't so hard once you get the hang of it. That was right about the time that I pushed it a little too hard, the board checked up sideways and threw me off in superman mode I made all my money back on my hand sliders right there Slid about 20 ft. on my hands and knees with my face about 2 inches from the pavement.
Now if only they had an escalator to take you back to the top |

I think some new wheels would help tremendously. |

| You mean harder wheels? The ones I have on are just starting to break in. They are only 78a, which I understand is harder to slide, but once broken in you should be able to. |

They just looked really narrow in the picture. not sure what the rating on my wheels is, they are the same as G's. I told daddies what I was going to be doing and they slapped them on.
Does look hella fun for sure. I bomb down NE 15th a couple times a week late at night when there is no traffic. I have to get me a pair of those gloves and really start to slide. |

Yeah, the pictures turned out great. That slide Gman did at the end was cool with both his hands dragging.
Daddies put my wheels on also, they are about the same size as Phil's and Gmans, although Henry has wider wheels. I think the picture is a bit deceptive since I am so tall |

Awesome pics...first time I took a skateboard downhill was back in 89 in the philippines (exchange student)...great fun until I hit a rock and did the superman with no pads! I had a rock jammed into my palm down to my wrist...I removed the debris myself and my host-mom went out into the yard to get a guava to put some of its juice on the wound...I was like WTF! ...but if you're in the tropics, guava has healing properties like aloe...look out for rocks! _________________ Wind energy you can really put your hands on! www.thirdcoastkites.com |
