Looks like a fun crew and good times. For ice skating I usually go to the Valley ice skating rink. For snowkiting Mt. Haggin and Georgetown lake can be sick later in the season. Definitely worth another visit for those of you that haven't been around when there's a solid layer of snow. It was really fun last year in February for the second event.

Haha, I was kinda ripping on the conditions, but guys do play hockey at the Valley skating rink.

http://valleyicearena.com/sticktime.html

I did play some hockey in Russia when I was little, but haven't in well over a decade. I still have some hockey skates somewhere in my parents' garage, but I've never actually played hockey on them.

There was talk of this, we built most of the rail, but didn't go because of the conditions. I couldn't go anyway, so it was kind of out of my hands.

The rail is sweet, 20' double barreled shotgun rail. Hopefully it will be out at the next snowkite event, whatever that might be.

Any talk of snowkiting THIS coming weekend?

Don't look at me, I wasn't involved in these discussions.

Don't worry guys, we'll still get some decent snowkiting once the snow falls. I'm game for it this weekend if it's possible, but gotta keep it local. Otherwise winching with some rails would be sick.

lol,...i'm just messing with ya. It would have been hard to keep em in place anyway. But i do want you guys to seriously consider coming down for the snowdaze event.

Looks like a good forecast, hopefully saturday will dump at crater lake.

Thanks to everyone that showed up to support our event. I am glad everyone had a great time and that we were able to help get this years snow season going with a fun event.

I had a great time getting to meet all of our new friends.

Congratulations to all the competitors that competed in the events. Competing on ice isn't the best but you all did great. You went fast, and high despite the lack of snow. You all rocked.

RESULTS:

Winduro;

Mens Snowboard:
Gold - Matt Thames
Silver - Jason Jermain
Bronze - Rhett Sanborn

Womens Snowboard:
Gold -Kelli Roberts
Silver - Lisa-kay Keen

Mens Ski:
Gold - Davey Heath
Silver - Josh Smith
Bronze - Lee Simes

Big Air;

Gold - Matt Thames
Silver - Josh Smith
Bronze - Jason Jermain

Most Improved Rider;
Gold - Nigel Smith

By the way the sol I can set you up with the switchblade setup. It is easy to set up just don't try and go on any ski hills with it. They tend to say no to boards with it on, but it is an awesome addition for ice boarding.

The weather for this weekend is looking epic lots of snow and wind. Hoping to ride Black Pine.

If anyone is in the area get a hold of me.
