check out this http://www.kitefix.com/ they have videos of fixing kites ripped completely in two. I think you can make up your own kitefix using fiberglass dry wall tape and marine goop from home depot. Or tear-aid is incredibly tough, sticky and durable - andy and bax on MLK in portland cell it by the foot if you in a hurry and don't have time to sus out a cheaper source.
