Hi guys,
I don't know if any of you guys know this but a friend of a friend told me about a guy doing kite repairs in portland.
I have had my kite repaired a couple times. He does pretty good work. Its fast and conveinient. The quality is good. The price is pretty good too. And sometimes, getting to airtime in HR is not as conveinient for me, so this was a pretty good option.
here's his email

(he also gave me a small discount to get the word out) |

Does he offer any sort of guarantee? I would hate to save a few bucks and have something bad happen.
...just asking. Thanks for passing this information on to us! For us Portlander's this might be a great solution for our kite repair needs. |

Hey there,
sorry i missed your post. We didn't talk about a guarantee, but he's a pretty nice guy and in the repair business rep is a pretty important thing. You'll have to talk to him about it, but he told me he'll fix repair failures for no charge.
the airtime people are good too. I attributed a failure to a repair of theirs. They told me they have no problem repairing things that are their fault and go the extra mile. I believe them. Turns out it wasn't their fault, but the lengths Jeff at airtime went to to assure me they had nothing to do with the 2nd failure have me convinced that they too would stand behind their work.

He did a great job on my 12! It had two holes on the LE and he fixed-em up straight! Thanks Mike! |

Bump for mike.
I just got the LE seam on my Wahoo redone... killer. He did it fast (finished same day). Cool guy, fellow kiter.... and saved me the hassle of having to take it all the way out to HR.
Shoot him an email!

He repaired the stitching on the LE of my waroo and some stitching on a strut on my Fuel.
I am happy with both repairs. He did it pretty inexpensively and was done the same day!! I recommend this guy. |

Going to give this another bump. For everyone living in Portland... Michael Stone is out in Beaverton/Raleigh Hills...does a great job repairing kites (has fixed my waroo 3 times now).
Cheap, fast, and quality work. Guarantees what he fixes...
why ship it to HR when you can have it done locally?

He fixed my 11M waroo - I blew the leading edge bladder - I use that 11 more than any other kite, I am just happy I didn't lose any days on the water. _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |
