This is all very nice, but.
What if I'm the idiot here and this actually turns out to not be my kite? Let this be a strong message to all... WRITE DOWN THE SERIAL NUMBERS OF ALL YOUR GEAR!
If anyone would like to PM me, I can give you a few distinguishing marks on the Helix 9 that would narrow this down to %99.99 my kite.
I will gladly send $50, and if my gear is recovered you will all get your $$ back.

We all know this kite is stolen. It may not be the one we are looking for but it will go to a good cause anyway.
I think this also make a huge statement of the kite community we have. All the jibs and jabs, but when it comes down to it, we all have each others back. I see it every day I am out at the beach. It is just one way to rally around these F'rs that keep steeling our stuff.

| I'm in for $50. I'm an ex-Spokane guy and have contacts who can do a pick-up once "bought"....if the kite is actually in Spokane. Doesn't sound like the clown is willing to "show" the kite but I do have a perfect Ebay account with long history so whatever Wylie thinks....I'm in. |

Kip I agree w/mschulz and Sella; your kite or not, it appears this guy has got a serious scam or theft ring going!
I think the show of hands from 'our community' as well as the possibility of filing a police report when/if recovered is an excellent way to show solidarity!
And Naks idea to front this as donation for bidding to the KB4C cause is sweet!
I'll donate $50.
And again, i'm really sorry for your loss!! It's total B.S. that our time and expenses end up going to losers - so let's turn it into something positive!!! |
