So I am due for a new cell phone. I have sprint pcs and I am looking at the Blackberry Curve or the Samsung Instinct. Anyone have either of these and want to through out an opinion.

I think from a multimedia standpoint the Instinct will be better, but I think texting with one hand will be much easier on the blackberry. I also like to be able to feelt he buttons.

Both of them have GPS, which is nice. The instinct has a cool feature where you can say the name of a store near you and it will give you instant directions to that place.

Ok, let the brand vs. brand wars begin. Twisted Evil

I looked at both of those phones, they are both really nice. The Instinct is awesome I just couldn't fork over the $$ for one without a contract $400. If you are signing a new contract get that phone it's awesome.

The one phone I just got for Sprint was the Palm Centro. I love the phone it's similar to the Curve but a bit smaller. You can get them for pretty cheap too.

The rebates on both are pretty nice right now. I think they are each about 169 after rebate even without a contract. My biggest concern with the instinct is texting with fat fingers Smile

I have the curve with the $100 simply everything plan and love it. Bonetti was the only one with the instinct that I know and he didn't like it at all. He was going to try to sell it so you might be able to buy one off of him cheap. From what I have seen the Iphone is the best bet but that means you need AT&T Confused

Maybe Bonetti can chime in about what he didn't like. Smile

I have the Curve and really like it! The GPS with Google maps is great. Also, there are a few other free apps that you can run that I would be happy to point you towards. I don't have any experience with the other phone in question, but all-in-all, I havent had one issue or complaint with the Curve.

If you can live without a keyboard get a Casio Grzone water and dust proof. My buddy ran over one with a car and it still works to this day. It has your GPS, Internet, Photos, text bla bla leave the computer at the office and get a Phone you can kite with.

When I picked up my last phone I went with a slide phone and then bought a waterproof bag at GI Joes. I've been using it since last year and it seems to be holding up fine. With the slide phone I can open it and talk on it while in the bag, could not do that with my old flip phone. Its nice to have that little extra piece of mind knowing that I can call for a ride if I wash up in Washington, or call the Coast Guard if things go afoul on the Coast.

Of course an actual waterproof phone would be better.

The Sony says waterproof to 1M for 30 Minute. Don't sound like enough to me.

IPHONE BIACCCHHHEESSSS!!!!

er

No I am Sprint too, and contract doesn't expire until Sept 2009! Nicole's new phone is pretty neat, but for now mine is working okay. I can call people on it (which is a nice feature.)

T9 texting is pretty fast anyway.
