Holy shit! I'm not worthy!
Now that's what a good surfer looks like behind a kite. Good thing I just started strapless boosting with the surfboard. Now I'm motivated to push it further.

Yeah really good stuff.
Jed is riding a hybrid Morey Y board twin. (different skin but same shape)
And they both ride hooked in because it makes sense.
Unhooked made sense when there were no hybrid or SLE kites.
Now hooked in works.

I love a good unhooked turn and am working on developing good technique for it. Not being pulled by your waist can feel good and helps with better balancing. Of course I still ride hooked in depending on conditions. Some of the stuff they were doing wouldn't make much sense unhooked, like the strapless boost so that could explain why they're hooked in (assuming they've tried it). Do whatever works for you.

I was checking some of thier boards out and they had a strapless sess
with this Ian dude killing it
At Belmont which is a terrible surf spot
so I had to see.

BTW : just to keep folks informed, the last time I saw blowhard he was riding strapless ... it looked almost exactly like that vid.
