Even after taking LOTS of lessons, kite camps, etc, I obviously still need help and wanted to thank all the SI guys for the encouragement, extra props to the guy who helped me figure out how to flip and relaunch my new kite!! |

No problem. It was interesting that my T2 actually hindenburged while trying to help you out. Never saw that kite do that. Anyways, I see your phenomenon happy over and over with allot of beginners.
If your trying to relaunch your kite in light winds, you really have to grab an arm length or two of the outside line to get the kite to respond. Also, if your kite is facing the wrong way, flipped over, whatever the first thing you should try is to start taking in lots of outside line to flip/turn/twist, whatever the kite back into proper position.
Always keep track of where the lines are at if your grabbing lots of line. You don't want to be able to let go of everything if you need to. |

It's nice that beginners are so welcome at SI, I think that's a tradition to maintain.
One thing I see a lot of beginners doing wrong while trying to relaunch is fully powering the kite. You really gotta sheet out a lot, surprisingly to get the kite to lift during a water start. At least, that true for my waroo.
Unrelatedly, I got my 11m back from Airtime, and took it out a HR, in the shallows: damn that's fun! I was jumping the sandbar too... |

| that is a good tip but it seems that my rev likes to have the bar sheeted in a little bit if their is decent wind. Of coarse in light wind all bets are off and thats really where experience comes into play. |

I took my first lesson at HR and then went off on my own at SI. Everybody I've delt with so far has been really helpful. SI is definately a good place to learn. Thanks to all you guys for helping. _________________ Keep livin' the dream. |

Haha, and all this time I thought you'd dropped your kite on purpose to give her an actual relaunch demo!
I was gonna be a hero and started to paddle out on a board I'd borrowed from Blake to flip her kite for her, but you already had it under control.
Newgirl-
I am the old guy that had helped you launch so you were able to get in trouble in the 1st place _________________ Lets FLY |
