Trolling the Seattle forum, came across an excellent post by Stringy. Not really how to take better pictures, but how to interact and behave around those people who sacrifice their kiting time to take pictures of others. Hats off to all the photographers out there.

One other thing, if a guy is holding a $1,000.00 camcorder without a waterproof housing, don't scream into shore and spray him.. ..SPIKE !!

forrest you are correct. it becomes chaotic at times. sunday at jetty put it's toll on many riders and myself.
I thought a thread that would help riders understand what our intentions are as photographers, while creating a safe and efficient area for shooting.
everyone likes their picture taken so it's nice to give back to our friends in the form of a shot of them landing their first backroll or boardgrab.
I want to try and keep things positive for all riders at our beaches.

I'll have to disagree with you on the Rico Ban at the beach. I know you are probably just kidding.

Seriously nwkite community, do you have any idea how lucky your are to have a guy like rico providing some of the most amazing shots of kiteboarding in the Gorge?
His contributions keep the stoke alive and many rely on this to get them through their dreary work week.
as a photographer I look at his images and he inspires me. I learn from his work. Much respect for Henry's contributions!

anyhow back to the original topic, feel free to provide constructive comments if you have any. I welcome them.

I'm 100% kidding. I do see exactly what you're saying Stringy and completely agree.

I was thinking about that as well. We are super fortunate to have such excellent photographic talent willing to take and post pictures of us. I mean, when you look at Rico's pictures I am often like "how the F^&ck are those images so clear and crisp".

We should have some kind of Henry appreciation day or something. I'd say pool some cash together and buy him a lense or something but I know the lenses he uses are like $1,000,000.
