So all downstream that day are "lead" to believe, "no harm done"?

I think they owe us a cable park for that "mistake", no?

So when shit like this happens do the companies get fined or anything? The article seemed so casual about the whole thing. Whoops, I just dumped all this harmful toxic crap into the river, but it'll be OK.

1000 kg spill into a river flowing 9,884,774 kg of water per second.
I wouldn't worry too much and I don't think President Bush was
responsible for maintaining the heat exchanger that failed.

wtf,
this happened in Canada?
fuckin Bush.

Canada has a much different approach to the enviorment
than we do.

say thanks the next time you buy a 2x4
to a goverment that gives away the timberlands of its people to multi-nationals
or go to Windsor and smell the PVC
or perhaps Alberta where they smelt the nickel for your precious
Prius/electric cars (probably what the lead was being used for)
and check out the moonscape
downwind

I agree with the majority of what you posted, however the area downwind of the nickel smelter looked like the moon at least a decade before the word "Prius" was on anyone's lips.
