Looks like fun. Glad I was there to enjoy it instead of working at home with a sore ankle. Mad

Rico, is that you in the 2nd pic? You survive that one alright? Looks awesome.

Gnarly. I wish I could have been out there. Maybe one of these days it won't be such a drive for me...

in competitions, do you only get a score if you land a trick or do you get points for the trick regardless for the landing or something in between?

I'm pretty sure you only get points if you "land" something. Although certain types of landings can be borderline. After that you get more points for better style and execution as defined by the competition guidelines and interpreted by the judges.

Tucker's money face Cool

Tucker lands most his tricks. I land some, but hope I get some style points.

Tucker was going off! Kitelooping over the island we were hanging on. Was the most scared I think I have been as a spectator but still awesome.

#2 was awesome even if it ended in near death (maybe even more so.) The splash contained as much sand as water. Henry was fine and the photo was sweet (nice job TREV.)

Spike you can criticize when you start going for kung-fu's on a lit 7m. Until then stick to spelling. Very Happy

Cheers to everyone else out there today Very Happy

Yeah, I went a little crazy. These guys totally set me up. First they hand me a kite so I don't have to rig my own and Tucker lets me try his new board. Then Phil heckles me for about three passes. Trevor pulls out the camera. Right there I should have known I was done for.

So I thought I'd just try a little kung fu, unhook, boost, then go to one hand. As soon as I went to one hand the kite started to down loop. I could feel the pull and looked down at the kite and tried to figure out how I was going to get out of this one Wink

Great, great pics. That kiteloop is insane! I kited at the spit for about an hour today, but it was so crowded I decided to look elsewhere. I kited at Stevenson for about three hours, just one other dude there for most of the time. The wind was really, really steady. Nice to have that flat spot all to myself. I was practicing jumping and downlooping.
