I'm itching to go ride, looks like the lagoons out on the coast or camas. Anyone else ready to roll?

Yea, I am... If for nothing, I have to at least check out the Camas spot. My roomie (JP) is still in Corvallis, so I'll be out by myself. If you see a funny-looking, little asian kid, that'll be me! I don't feel like driving too far today, but if the wind seems to be a little much over in Camas (ie. 40mph+ gusts), I'll probably end up going somewhere else. See ya out there maybe! Cool

You're probably right, I don't know what is really what on the Washington side... Don't wait on me, but I should be out around 11:00-noon. Gotta run a few quick errands first. Later!

Too crazy for my ass out there on a 7 meter. Underpowered, so you're constantly working the kite, then BAAAM 40mph+ gust (I bet some were pretty close to 50) while switchin' up and I'm up 25ft sideways... I'd be a pretty fun spot without quite so much wind, but the water's still FREEZING! Surprised

Yup too crazy on my nine!! Shocked

Thats the first time I have been lifted 3-5 feet out of the water with the kite over your head fully reefed in and depowered!! Interesting as you just hang there till the gust drops off. Thats when you start looking at the trees and other obsticals and think Hmmm. Then its back to yeehaw full steam ahead riding...till the devil winds get you again Twisted Evil

Would love to know just how fast some of the gust were. It was fast enough to pick the tops of the waves off and blow them 5-6 feet down wind.

Here is the Corbett sensor. Shows a gust of over 60. Plus that 10 low of the river speed. We were in a wind shadow but how much of one? Shocked
