I've only been there on easterlies, cause I heard its good then, and it is, and Im just wondering why not west-iness, too? Or maybe it is good...

| Yeah very rare... I have had it work good when it was blowing very strong SW in Portland. That's usually right before it starts to rain though. |

| Yeah, I've had a few light wind West days there in June a few years ago. It's the Gorge funneling effect with the pressure diff. Westerlies funnel and get stronger as you head East and Easterlies get stronger as you go West so typically that's how the wind sets up. Usually if Rooster's blowing from the West it's better if you go further East to Stevenson, HR, etc. |

I've got it in the fall once or twice w/ clouds in E Portland and sun in the gorge. AND one day rode light E wind & 30 min. later it came up W good enough for a second seshh  |
