|
|
Anyone ever had the right side ofyour body go numb/ half asleep feeling?
last sunday my right arm felt like it was cold and half feeling but full strength /power. Since then spread to knee up to my neck, just on right side.
Mri on tuesday but its hard to sleep with the stimulas needles in the back and frankly its getting annoying as hell.
full reflexes but no hot cold sensations or feeling of pain.
no strokes or heart attacks......probably a result of global warming or co2 emmisions. |

I lost function of my hand last year. Turns out I pinched my Radial and Ulnar nerve at my neck while sleeping. It took 3-4 months to get my wallet out of my back pocket with my right hand. All is good now.
My injury did not go further than my hand. Hope you heal up soon. |

Dude, you need to get that checked out by a doctor ASAP if you haven't yet! I'm unfortunately unable to say anything that would attempt to diagnose or treat your condtion on this forum due to the Law and my current status as a student chiropractic intern(practicing medicine w/o a license). I work under my Attending Physician's license, who happens to be a DC, ND, LAc.
If you have interest in seeing a Chiropractor (I'm a senior intern at WSCC Outpatient Clinic) send me a PM. We can help you figure out what's going on and provide some treatment options w/o drugs or surgery. Let me know... You should certainly visit any Physician (DC, Neurologist/MD, DO) ASAP as to diagnose/rule out any CNS/spinal cord damage.
ps...if anyone needs or is interested in learning more about conservative care options for injuries incurred through kiteboarding or any other sport for that matter, give me a shout. I'm a fellow kiteboarder and understand what can happen on the water....plus, I can always use additional patient visits towards my graduation requiremnt this Fall. Thanks guys/gals! been to the doc and others and consulted my in town inlaw emergency room phys. , getting a MRI on tuesday evening. One opinion is its from a over the bars dog leash bike incident from months ago. Apparently which spun stuff like vetebrae and ribs and such around to a sticky position. more info as it comes in. |

sorry to hear, hope you heal up soon. why do all the injuries happen at the beginning of the season?? |

Dude - I had something similar happen to me. My right arm would go numb if I would step too hard on my right foot. Totally tripped me out. Turned out to be a pinched nerve. I went and saw a chiropractor to fix me up - its all good now, haven't had any issues.
Good luck man! |

well the western medical receptionist called and left a message that I have some bulged discs( again) . (Had 2 lower discs blow (desicated and one bulged almost 10 years ago / no surgery)
luckily not waiting around for the wheel of medicine as perscribed by my insurer.. I moved proactively to a manual physical therapist's light manipulation and have recovered most feeling and hot / cold senses. almost fully recovered for consrvative kite action. all for a few hundred bucksd
meanwhile on the other end a nueral surgeon is supposed to consult when he gets around to callin, at least according to my doctors secretaries fine bedside message. running on thousands of dollars ,Docs visits and MRI, blah blah B.S. going nowhere fast down this road. I could push things along but by the time the surgeon wants a new porsche I hope to be riding already.
the king ? anarchy?
damn it!
western medicine, I hope some day it can develope person skills instead of big bucks. but it is damn good to have around . |

Things evolve dude - just ignore it. And for sure don't listen to any professional advice from educated people or believe test analysis - thats just a bunch of HOO-HA. Last edited by boardrider on Thu May 08, 08 8:43 pm; edited 2 times in total |
