seems the sup bugs got you too. I was at p.c. this weekend the waves were small and hard to predict I kept thinking I need a stand up board. So I went home and tried to paddle around on a old 12 foot windsurfer. It was a lot harder than I thought(the board is narrower then most sup and has lots of vee). Man the columbia is a lot colder then I thought I guess kiteing I don't tend fall and go completely underwater. Anyway hope to practice a few more times on the cheap board and then get a real one for p.c.

I gotta say that I've been using my old Mistral Pantera 12' sailboard for about a year now and there is plenty of work to do just to become proficient at the basics. I leave it down by the estuary and paddle around quite a bit. Anyone is welcome to try it out. One of Jahmbi's friends left him an older SUP (epoxy like the sailboard) and we've been out having fun on these small days surfing the rollers at the rivermouth. Not enough fun to make me pony up for one but I've heard the new SUPs have been selling well. I don't see many people do it around here though. I'm guessing there will be a good and flooded used market before too long Very Happy .

their looks like their is a good used market in HI already. Also their are some cheaper of brands like oxbow(under $900) coming out. I worked on my old sailboard agin last night and did much beter still had a hard time when I was sideway to the swell(2ft).
