...I was looking through some old business cards a few days ago and came across this gem from 2000. 'Handy persons' was always a headscratcher...:

Utah Jerry left a strong impression and a void upon his gorge departure. As a tribute, I dug-around and found more gold.
...In fairness to UJ, these 2000 shots depict the man test riding Tinkler's prototype independent-suspension-pickle-fork twintip. The design apparently needed a few adjustments...

My dad tried(unsuccesfully) to get into kiting right around that time. I distinctly remember those bindings!

Memorable Tidbits from my first and only kiteboarding lesson:

Crazy Jerry: This is a great couples sport (Kara smiles) one person launches the kite and the other flys it (thinking that's nice)

Crazy Jerry: Oh, if you get your hand caught in this line, it will rip your arm clean off

Interesting that the shape of this '86 kite looks somewhat similar to modern design (minus the swept wing LE & 4 lines of course ).

Here's another goodin' from the vault...
the first incarnation of the CGKA sellin' HR port commissioners on kiting from the Event Site... Suffice it to say, the new CGKA is doing a great job in comparison to our early approach...

Jerry...currently residing in the where is he now file. Quite a character. Never really understood why he started out on his belly on the rocks but he did a lot of things his own way.
