anyone know a good yet free way to do this? I want to play some of the reuban vids on my tv via my xbox 360 but it won't play mov files... Sad

Try download dot com by cNet. They have a bunch of freeware and trialware that may work for you......for free. Good luck!

I use a program called flip4mac, I think it was $20. It's a mac program though -- I don't think they have it for a PC.

you know there is a program called tversity media server that you can download and install and it's free.

basically it is a upnp server application on your PC that the 360 can connect to instead of needing XP media center edition. It is supposed to support streaming of any file type to your 360, if you have the right codecs installed (ffdshow). in reality, not everything will play, but some 90% of all the various kite videos and southpark downloads i have stream to my 360 just fine.

wwaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better than being locked to WMA and that stupid XP media center interface
