I was just checking to see what the best area to snowkite would be coming from Bend. I will be heading that way on Tuesday with a buddy and we wanted to hit up some of your local spots, so let me know.

Thanks, but I was wondering for a little more beta based on the upcoming forecast and where would be the better spot.

Mt. Ashland looks like the best forecast, (which is a longer drive)Everywhere else looks like easterly winds. The last time we went to crater lake we could'nt get in. I'm sure the sun/freeze has taken care of that, so it may be access-able.

The other option is the HWY 140 flats, but its been known to get skunked....
Lets hook up and ride, some of us are getting together on tuesday as well. I dont think i'm healed up 100% but i'll be there to take pics. Confused

The Snowkite guide on the S.O.K.A. Site provides the locations that have been known to be somewhat reliable.

Here are the links for a weather forecast:
NOAA (click on the map to pinpoint the exact location you want forecasted.)
Ikitesurf
Oregon tripcheck

where-ever we decide will be bomb!
