tried to be like "chasta" and possilby cracked a rib today Confused Got some major hangtime and somehow lost control around 30ft in the air, i sent the kite a lil too much and started swinging outta control and came down rather hot. My body compressed upon impact. I could tell right away the sharp pain was a messed up rib.

I sat out and took pics for the remainder of the day...

gliding is tougher than it looks.... you need to learn to micro sine and keep it overhead pretty much.

if your swinging you best hope you have some hieght to correct.

and injured ribs suck .... especially with a kiting harness.

get well soon.

thanks everyone, i've been eating ribs....i'll be ready to ride by thusday Wink

over steering the kite was my piloting error, i tried to counter the swing by sending the kite back the other way. which is like riding a 100ft swing, only 20-30 feet in the air. somehow my 17m kite started turning like a 6m, under the load of my wieght i reckon. Confused I'm stoked cause i've been getting in smaller glide's,trying to work my way up. But this was my first experience at tree-top level, soaring. just gotta "pay ur dues" every now and then.

thanks everyone, see ya on the slopes

edit: hey rich, get ahold of me when ya get down here! i'll shot some pics if i cant ride
