I wanted to know if anyone has kiteboarded in Cuba? If so, when is the best time to go, where is the best spot? On, Off or side shore winds? Where did you stay and would you stay there again? Anywhere to take lessons?

i've never been to cuba but i'm guessing kitboarding isn't really high up on their economy/ fidels to do list, you'd probably have much better luck at another island in the caribbean.

from what I've read, kitesurfing is excellent in Cuba and growing. I would think the winds are onshore on the northside of the island and offshore on the southside of the island. The island is HUGE, but I think varadero is a good bet for beginers. Definitely Nov-Mar has to be a good time to go. Too bad we aren't allowed to go there...................
