Wunderground does say pressure in Troutdale is falling...that's a good sign.

What the hell. I'm gonna go check it out anyway. Curious to see how light it can be and still blow.

I guess I figure if I leave two hours early or come in two hours late its the same difference. I make up the time by working extra hours on non-kiting days, and winter.

7:30am onsite report from Gene - Rooster Rock calm. Confused

Bonetti and I busted out of work early yesterday - got to rooster about 3:30 - wind was light but very kite-able...Was able to boost a few times, here and there....We thought it was going to die as soon as we got there...But sometimes it's also hard to tell by watching the water from the parking lot...Best thing to do is to get down to the beach - throw your shit out and charge it...Not bad for an afterwork session...Left about 6:00 ish....than the wind really dropped....I think there was only 'bout 4 kites in the water...with a gazillion amount of beach....
Crap man, it would really be sick if we had a slider down there....

Saftey note for the day:

Carefull - Trail to the water down the stairs - along the shrubs is very slick/slippier than snot...I recommend studded sandals or some sort of extra traction device on your footwear.... Wink Or your gonna eat shit if you start running from a naked village dude who frequents the area....

Adam, I think you and Tucker need a hair cut...
I'm going to buy you guys a flowbie.... Wink

Just got to work. Thanks for posting the report Phil. I guess AT&T users can't post to the forum with the default browser (this was discussed already I think, but you don't think about it until you have to do it).

I knew it was a long shot, but couldn't turn down three pre-work sessions in a week Very Happy . I guess two great 1.5 hour sessions ain't bad either. I think pressure diff between Portland and the Dalles was just over 2 and wasn't changing much this morning. Also, RR was reading only a couple miles/hour on the sensor and forecast on airnet was below 5mph. Those signs = no wind at RR (at least today). It's just hard to know what'll happen based on conditions that early in the morn.

As far as the work thing...I make it to work by 10:30 (1.5 hours later than usual), but I stay a bit later and have a short lunch. I found I've actually been more productive after riding 'cause I'm so amped after the session that I work quicker and I'm less distracted thinking about how badly I wanna be kiting. Guess I'll be distracted again today thinking about the session that coulda been... My manager doesn't really care too much when I get here as long as I'm there for the meetings and get my work done. Funny thing is I missed a meeting yesterday morning 'cause it wasn't on my Outlook calendar and I didn't show up until it was over Shocked . Haven't heard any complaints though (not my fault it wasn't on the calendar) and I'd take kiting over a meeting any day.

I hope this weekend provides. Should be fairly warm and sunny. Some East wind would really put it over the top.

I was hoping for a nooner today' not looking so good now. Sad Airnet is calling for SW @ 6 at Troutdale instead of East now... If we all believe they're wrong, then they will be wrong! Positive waves...

I go to work tomorrow for 11 days... When I'm home I'm free to kite, except for family obligations. (DON'T grow up!) Of course, It's always good to kite on a layover. I keep a couple of '04 Fuels in a car in Honolulu. I basically learned to ride in Kailua on layovers at work. Very Happy
