Well, there is a fancy new race bruin in LaVentana mexico this winter for all you junkies that didn't get your fare share of racing this summer!
The race is called the DBLX or "Double Cross" In LV on January 10th. Open Class/ kiters and windsurfers welcome, Pro's and recreational riders as well as anyone who has the competitive spirit.
On the 11th, rumor has it that there will be a "Big air" kite boarding event and a windsurfing, free style event, and directly following on the 13th is the world famous burning bush party!!!
The DBLX race is from the hot springs to the big beach on the island and back to free beach at the south end of LV bay. The total distance is 17 miles, same as the blowout but with a perpendicular reach and then about 25 degrees off the wind, back home. Holy leg burner batman!
This is a sponsored event with proceeds going to the local hospitals.

Ok - dredging this up because I'm confused. In this thread there is a race planned for Jan 10th (a Thursday?). In Marina's thread on the latest ASNEWS podcast there is a race on Jan 25th. Which is correct? Are there two races? Anybody got the straight scoop on this?
