Yeah, balance that off shore forecast with the beaches forecast. It's usually somewhere in the middle with Manzo being your best bet...

| Blowhard, you think it's gonna blow again today and/or tomorrow? Looks like it's building...Sounds mighty fine if it blows. |

what size kites today blowhard? looks like a weird day, but i guess florence and whiskey run area would have been the best spots.
what's the deal with gold beach area always blowing so early and then fading early? |

10 foot for the small ones and 7.0 meters
yee haaawwww
the best of days out there of late. not as clean as I prefer but the threatening mass of water took my mind off anything else trying to pop up.
important days for right of ways..
and the salmon are coming in and out with the tides so you know there are hungry fellows below.
even some stud on a paddle board in the river with the OG wave crowd
looks kind of kooky to me eck.

I had to come in a few times just to delete some pictures and get my mind straight before going back out.
the position of the sun during the "witching hour" makes for some bad pics anyway.
and who likes shark pics anyhow.
I may have a kooky paddlesurf pic riding between the jetty somewhere
visualize wind over water.. then add some waves.. and some blowing sand in your ears. |

here's a mental one. if the kite drops in the impact zone... the likely hood of drowning is high. _________________ www.lancekoudele.com |

that guy paddleboarding the channel at florence had 3 cameras on him when i was leaving; glad to know you're taken your dissing of the sport online, registered .
the last couple times i've ridden have definitely put a new respect to the waves for me... going out into the swells past the break i was riding small hills. the waves were decent sized too. lance_k wrote: "here's a mental one. if the kite drops in the impact zone... the likely hood of drowning is high. " my kite dropped into the impact zone and was behind the jetty where the wind fails. luck got me out of it when the kite tipped up on a wave. i've ridden more conservatively since then. it coulda been worse, but it provided me w/ a serious glimpse at what can go wrong. kite in the impact zone, little wind, lines around my leg, rip was pulling me backward as i tried to swim towards shore. bad feeling if nothing else.
ps. there's no point asking blowhard what size kite he rides; the guy has skillz and will ride a 9 while i'm struggling to get power on a 12 at 40lbs lighter. observe some of these coastal rippers and learn, young jedi.
