On really busy days wouldn't it be highly considerate
of you to show up at the launch, pump up, launch,
get your session and then leave so there is more
room for the next guy. Instead of squatting on the
beach all day and clogging up the launch with your
tailgate party?

Wanna ride for 30+ years? You have to start thinking
of limiting your sun exposure anyway.

I've always felt this way. It used to be so brutal to pull in to the Hatchery and there would be no place to park. And why? Not because there's so many people sailing...because there's so many people POSING!

But anyway, pass that pipe. Cool

So Hein...

Does that mean when I come to the Gorge from out of town I should come to your house and hang out after I kite????

I know your answer...

Don't come to the Gorge from out of town.... Wink

Heh,
so there I was lauching a bro/bra at said spot last week... on a big day, but hey, we got the right to kite, right? Just tryin' to make it work with the hoards of outta-town and local pole-johnys that were out..
So Scrifflers swimming out and this windsurfer walks right under to put-it.. One line is caught on his mast and I say,
"Heh, Ya mind waitin' a minute 'til I launch this guy?"
He sees the line, rolls his eyes and says,
"Im all ready to go, and theres people in.. (inaudible mumbling)" and continues to walk to the edge, shaking his head.
Meanwhile Scriff is moving downstream, tensioning his lines, ready to launch..
"Heads Up", I say, because there is a short window to get his kite in the sky whether Joey realizes it or not, the kites going up...
"Arghh, you darn kiters blah blah blah, I been coming here.. blah blah blah, british columbia since 1994 blah blah..."
I get the "thumbs up" giving him a nice hot launch, his lines coming off the said poleboarder's gath helmet making a 'ping' sound..
"hey man sorry, but its a timing thing.. I asked you to wait"
"blah blah blah, you son of a bleep, yada yada yada"
As he takes off for another session of back and fro slogging, he looks back, giving me the evil eye and shaking his head..
As an ambassador for the sport, I did what I thought needed to be done..
I shrugged my shoulders, with open hands towards the heavens, (the universal signfor "what the F#$&, man?") and screamed,
"I'll kick your a$$ right back to Canada.. you F#$%er."
Yup, I said it, and dont regret it!
