I just picked up a boost drysuit at a rummage sail for $20.
It is one of the baggy style wetsuits originally intended for wakeboarding.
Does anybody have any experience kiting with one of these?

That's a steal!

Jeff Takashima has one and it seems to work awesome. He's always dumping his kite, floating around in 37 degree water in the winters!

Make sure it doesn't leak. I had one many years ago (can't remember which brand) and the thing ruptured while on the water in the middle of winter. It filled up like a rubber boot and I thought I was going to drown.

Switched to a 5/4 wetsuit.

Thanks for the feedback. The picture is motivational! I can't imagine kiting in 37 degree water

Are they still making drysuits? When I went to their products page it wasn't listed...

Those things scare me. Didn't that guy die last year off the NE coast when a seal blew. One minute he's waving at the rescue boat looking strong and the next minute he's gone.

Be careful.

I didn't think a seal went out on that dude that died... And even if one did, it's not like the suit just starts to fill up. I'm still getting mine this year, since OR was retarded last year and took forever to release the Surf suit.
