I put together a site to collect the freely available wind sensors around Portland onto Google maps.
It has been useful for me to see if Sauvies will set up in the evening.
Still working out a few issues, but should be ready for people to check out and give some feedback.

Let me know what you think, thanks.

i'm curious as to what programming language you used to write that in? and i'm guessing you used the google API as well?

The sensors are accessed every 5 minutes, but the sensors update every 1, 20, or 60 minutes depending on the webpage I grab the data from.
I found a sensor close to SI (Felida neighborhood of Vancouver) that updates every minute. I'm trying to figure out how accurate it is to the beach at SI.

I used the Google Maps Api, it is javascript. To collect the data, I use visual basic because I'm not much of a software guy.

Yeah... That's Awesome! Great job.

Can you put on Newport (http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=nwpo3) & Florence?

Now we just need George McLean's brain in a pickle jar. I bet we could plug some cat5 into it and get it to calculate SUPER forecasts! mAUhAHHAHA

Thanks..
The Stevenson sensor stopped working a couple days ago:

I will not display old data like that at some point.
Still quite a few kinks to work out to make it more reliable.
I'll definitely add some coast sensors by next week.
Thanks for the feedback.
