This might be a good way to call kooks out:

I don't know, elect a Hall Monitor. You can give them a sash and everything.

hehe, good one.

Are you guys plagued with a lot people coming not caring about the spot and the local rules?
We have a lot of that here, and I don;t think I have been to THE beach the past few months without having to tell people follow the rules....which by no means are weird or terrible...they are common sense to any area with some traffic.

A.

Kailua makes the sandbar look safe and uncrowded. Imagine mixing windsurfers, kiteboarders, and hundreds of beach goers all on a beach about half the size of Sauvies.

People get by... its just all about where you launch/land/ride .... nobody cares where you pump up your kite. If they can share why can't we?

I love that if you scroll down on the Amazon link it says:

"Better together", and shows the megaphone next to an airhorn and recommends that you buy them together. I bet if you use those together you'll get the kook's attention Laughing

Parking tickets can easily be doled out in a timely fashion if people refuse to follow the rules. All it takes is a bar of wax and about 1 minute of rubbing. You can even come up with a clever phrase to help the offending party remember. It seems highly unnecessary most of the time though, as most kiters seem ready to follow the rules. Kooks do need reminding sometimes though. Wink
