Jabob
Following the ITC you attended in June and the various feedback we received at the office it emerges that your personality and attitude are not compatible with the requested skills to be certified as an IKO Instructor.

The IKO Training Department has therefore taken the decision to permanently ban your certification as an IKO Instructor. It means that you will not be certified as an IKO Instructor and you are not allowed to promote yourself as an IKO Instructor and/or to validate and certify your students with the IKO member card.

Thanks for taking note.

Regards,

IKO

Unfortunately our training fees are not refundable. As in any other training, candidates who do not show the requested skills cannot be certified and are not reimbursed.

The attitude you showed after the course towards IKO staff confirmed that IKO cannot take the risk to certify you as an instructor. IKO's main concern is safety and our duty is to only certify instructors who have the skills and mental state to teach kiteboarding under our standards.

We ask you to stop calling our office and as soon as your lawyer contacts us we will put him in contact with ours.

Why are you posting this? I don't know anything about you except this and your other bizarre post about getting a capitalism conspiracy induced beatdown at the wonderbar. But based on this info alone I would not be comfortable having you give kite lessons to anyone I know.

I have to agree that certification exists for a reason and wouldn't mean anything if they handed out a card to everyone that pays a fee. If anything this info gives me more respect for IKO.

Bingo, we have a winner.

Jabob don't play the "lawyer" card as a threat because everyone knows wanna-be kiteboard instructors got no $$ for legal counsel and if you really think an IKO actually means anything this guy has 40 with workbooks you could buy for probably beer money.

Oh ok. I see You are to stupid to have taught yourself to kite. What is the best method to learn to kite without spending any money other than buying a trainer kite then using a two line inflatable. Oh wait spend thousands on a kite bitch lesson . Stress about money and time and fulfill your anger and frustration. Capitalistic kiting is lieing.

Capitalism makes the business world go around bro . If you are mad at kiting , don't do it. Once you have your gear and skills to kite all you need is a lift to the beach , making it one of the more wallet-friendly extreme sports one can partake in .

Happy Thoughts

Not when you lie about proper steps of learning with least cost for all those who can't afford luxury Iko . They way I learned .

And to lie to me about kiting is not.
And to lie to me about my past instruct is bs
And to not cerify me promptly with snake tongue speech is not

Jake is a fellow kiter, well known at ES, and a friend to many of us. Also he is an extraordinary kiter with amazing board skills and kite skills. Watch Jake on a good day and you'll learn a lot, as he is a pioneer of this sport. He's also a very safe kiter, and his suggestions are always right on. As such he deserves to be treated with respect. If you connect the dots, one tragic incident changed his life and scarred him, making it difficult for him to fit the mold of instructor. That's a loss to all of us in the kiting community. Honestly this is not the place for this discussion... I know I know Janke started it, but dude, balls up, have some respect and compassion. Enough is enough!

Speaking of respect why use his real name? It wasn't necessary to get your point across and since Jabob has never offered up his true identity in any of his 36 postings why should you?

Jabob is his online persona, not his personality and albeit he displays a very unique command of the English language, akin to Secret Agent, his silence since last Thursday tells me he probably wished to remain incognito while he ranted mostly funny ass shit.

No need to manage his mojo, he's a big boy and can handle it.
