Just scouted this place yesterday and looks like a good option. Although it was close to high tide. Didn't notice any rocks. Anyone experienced this spot? _________________ Jeff Ryan Since 14 Jul 2005 537 Posts Oregon Addicted Thu Feb 25, 16 9:30 am    South Beach Jeff, IMO this is one of the best spots in Oregon for good down the line kiting on waves that are not blown out. Its generally more side shore than other spots and the jetty cleans up the waves a bit. SB is easily my favorite spots on the Oregon coast. Once the north winds get going in a few months you will find a few kiters there almost every afternoon its windy and I have seen as many as 30 on the water when there is a good swell, good wind and the gorge shuts down. Real sharky, iffy wind, you sometimes get too tired doing 15-20 bottom turns down the line in sideoff wind 'till your thighs ache up tight to the jetty on glass with an 8m kite when it's on. Between sharks and meth heads stealing your stuff it is better to stay around the epicenter of ptown .
