| Hey everyone, I am still in the process of looking for a job slash looking for a place to live - does anyone know if there is any kiting in or around washington DC?

check yahoo groups + look for "MAKA" mid-atlantic kite association"..... a lot of those folks live in + around DC ...
or go to IKitesurf> community...I think they have a mid-atlantic section where you can post Q's...

i just moved back from DC a year and a half ago. The kiting is there for sure but its not like it is out here. fall and spring are the seasons with no wind in summer. in winter there is some snowkiting. there are spots on the bay wich are about 40min from the city and 2 more hours out is the eastern shore. some spots on the coast are hatteras quality and ocasionaly in the fall there is some really really good riding on the bay but its rare for the conditions to come together perfectly. the kiting comuninty is very friendly their version of NW kite is www.eastkb.com

Sweet!!! Another place I can live and Kite!! I'll post back when I finally find out where I'm going. As of right now - I'm still looking at the following places:
Vancouver, BC; Seattle; Portland; Northern and Southern California (but not Sacramento), DC, and Phoenix (I would only go to phoenix because my family is there - but there is pretty much no kiting  and very little snowboarding).
