"breeds and lives in warm standing bodies of water"

Luckily not many kite spots in the northwest fit this description.

I haven't had river nose bad this season. I think it is because I don't immediately blow the water out my nose. I wait til my nose is well above the water level and slowly blow the water out. That way pressure doesn't get forced into my sinuses. Before I would try and get the water out of my nose ASAP and I think the pressure would push the iritants into my sinuses. Just a thought.
